Lakes and rivers
For a river swim - if you fancy a quick dip, it’s just a 10 minute walk to the perfect spot! Great for a sunny day, or to conclude another walk. Head down to the Pont de Camou via the D918. Shortly after crossing the bridge, there is a trail down to the right. This leads right to the shore of the river for an idyllic plunge!
Lacs d’Ayous - several length hike options visiting various mountain lakes. There is also kayaking, horse riding, and a cafe!
The Holzarte suspension bridge over the Olhadubi gorge - a stunning viewpoint with several options, the shortest being a 5km round trip from the parking to the bridge.

Hiking
Mailh Arrouy - the mountain directly behind Maysou. There is a good track for 1/2 the way up, but then does require some shrub-wrangling. ~11km, 950m elevation.
Along the river to Bedous - a long flat walk, the first 5km will be on the D238 road until just after Escot. You can then mostly follow trails (Chemin d’Apouns, Voie d’Arles, Chemin de l’Engoust) the rest of the way to Bedous, totally around 17km. There is a market here on Thursday mornings, and you can catch the train home for a few euros!
The Holzarte suspension bridge over the Olhadubi gorge - a stunning viewpoint with several options, the shortest being a 5km round trip from the parking to the bridge.

Climbing
Pic d’Arguibeille – an adventurous option, with long routes and a wild mountain feel. Expect a quiet setting and beautiful views.
Le Mur (indoor) – a great option for rainy days or training sessions, with a variety of routes and problems for all levels in a relaxed indoor setting.
... and a secret outdoor spot just a few steps from the house!
